John Longmire is the lead pastor of Hempfield United Methodist Church. He is the primary preacher and is responsible for the general oversight of our congregation’s spiritual life and ministry.

Pastor John has had 20 years experience in full-time pastoral ministry in eastern Pennsylvania, prior to which he served in numerous assistant pastor, local pastor and youth director positions.

He is a graduate of Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia, Temple University, and The Theological School of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Pastor John, his wife Tracy, and their two sons have been part of our church since July 2008.
