HOW ARE WE DOING?
Have you recently begun attending worship at Hempfield UMC? We would love to hear from you about your experience. We strive to be all that God calls us to be. You can help us make a difference by sharing what we do well, and what we could do better. Please take our very brief Welcoming Survey (it only takes a few minutes).

WHAT IS OUR WORSHIP TIME LIKE?

Our 8:30 gathering is our traditional worship. The style offers the comfort and familiarity of traditional hymns and songs with the accompaniment of an organ. Once a month, the Gospel Guys, a group of male singers that sing harmonized gospel tunes, lead worship.

Our 10 a.m. gathering offers more contemporary worship through both instrumental and vocal music. A band comprised of drums, bass, guitar, piano and sometimes other instrumentalists leads worship in the singing of Christian praise and worship songs. Some Sundays they are joined by the Hallelujah Singers, our adult choir or other special music.

WHERE DO I PARK?

Because you are our honored guest, we have our best parking spots reserved just for you. Our visitor parking area is located near the Stony Battery Road entrance, closest to the main sanctuary entrance on the west side of the building. There are visible signs that indicate “Visitor Parking.” If you need assistance with small children or have special needs, don’t hesitate to pull up under the main entrance portico. Our hosts can assist you and any friends and family members that need help.

WHERE DO I GO WHEN I GET THERE?

All Sunday worship gatherings are held in the sanctuary, which is the large space at the southwest side of the building. Our main lobby entrance is located under the portico on the Stony Battery side of the church. Our hosts and directional signs inside the building will point you in the right direction.

The Welcome Center in the main lobby is staffed by volunteers during the morning services who can answer questions you may have. Be sure to pick up a welcome packet from the Welcome Center before leaving. It contains a lot of information about our church.

At the information table next to the Welcome Center, and the other tables in the lobby, you can find information about upcoming activities, Bible study groups, support groups and other ministries of the church.

If you have infants or toddlers that you would like to place in our infant or toddler nurseries, please check in at the Welcome Center or ask a host to guide you to the appropriate nursery.

Between services, we invite you to come to our Spirit Cafe to enjoy light refreshments and fellowship with others.
