Give blessings! Our giving garden, located in the lobby next to the prayer room, is the central place for you to give donations for ministries that we support. Each of your donations give a blessing to people in need.
How does it work?
You simply select a seasonal tag that has a need or needs listed, gather the needed item(s), label your donations with the tag, and return it to the donation baskets in the garden. It is that simple.
Who does the giving garden support?
Your donations support many organizations and individuals in our community, the world, as well as those who need a little care within our own congregation. Both Care Ministries and the Reach Out ministries collect items through the Giving Garden. Tags are marked as to what ministry they support. The butterfly tags are needs specifically for Care ministry.
What types of items do we collect?
The items desired change frequently based on needs at the time. The best thing to do is check out the garden at least once a month to pick a new tag or two.
**Please make sure that your items are new or gently used. Care ministry frequently has needs for the crisis care food cupboard. Please no opened, expired, dented or otherwise damaged food items. If you wouldn’t eat it, we can’t use it either. We must give our best blessings for those in need.
Can I donate other items that I have at home to the Giving Garden?
Please do not “dump” items in the baskets that we are not collecting. Unfortunately, we don’t have the space or the volunteers available to manage and collect items other than those listed on the tags or requested at specific times. Our focus is on meeting immediate needs-not as a clearing house for general donations. If you have clothing, household goods, or other items, please save them for our yard sale which is typically held in early spring, or donate them to a non-profit of your choice.
