Card-Carerying Members: The Card Care Ministry re-organized on July 1 with eight members on this ministry team. Since that date, approximately 250 cards have been sent to deliver messages of comfort and joy to ones in times of need and for occasions that call for celebration.
Each card is lovingly created by a Stamps of Love member and features a special message for the recipient. A new “category” has been added since July: an anniversary greeting to members who have been married 20 or more years.
Homebound members and seven missionary families receive cards on a regular basis.
If you feel called to card care, please contact Delphine Heimer, phone: 898-8975, or email: delphine.heimer@gmail.com.

FOCUS ON REACH OUT
The Reach Out Commission wants to thank everyone for their gracious donations for the Flood Relief efforts! God has been able to supply, with your donations, so many flood victims’ needs. It has been a long, slow process for the families affected, so thank you for your patience as they continue to assess their needs. Continue to be in prayer for all those affected.
Through the Giving Garden in the lobby, you have an opportunity to help others in need year round. Right now, you can provide items for our prison ministry, the UMW Christmas Stocking project for state hospitals, blanket donations for GAIN, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes as well as many other needs for our community and world.
Coming soon: Our yearly Giving Tree, where you can provide Christmas gifts for children and adults who may not have gifts for Christmas this year will be set up in the lobby. Also, we plan to offer resources for ideas on how to make your Christmas focused on spending less, giving more, worshipping fully and loving all. Together, let’s learn to substitute consumption with compassion.
